Fresh snow on New Year's Day in the Tetons - 1.1.23

The Teton Range continued to benefit from fairly regular snowfall during the month of December and we are sitting above average for this time of year at most SNOTEL sites in the region. Make sure to stay up to date on the latest avalanche forecast and snowpack information before you head out into the hills to enjoy the snow!

Backcountry camping permits for summer 2023 (May - October) will be available to reserve online through recreation.gov beginning Tuesday, January 10 at 8 a.m. (MST) . More information can be found here. Winter permits are available by phone by calling 307-739-3309 on weekdays and 307-739-3301 on weekends.
