Whitegrass Ranger Station - 2.16.19
After a somewhat slow start to the season in December and early January, recent storm systems have more than made up for it in both the mountains and the valley! Several large storms have boosted snowpack depths and coverage throughout the Teton Range is DEEP! Settled snow depths are over 7 feet above 8,000' and the Surprise Meadow weather station is currently showing 8 feet! Rooftops are being shoveled to prevent damage and we've had several highway closures due to poor conditions! Winter is in full force. Check out the Bridger-Teton Avalanche Center website for information on current avalanche hazard and have a safe late winter/early spring!
