WINTER WILDLIFE CLOSURES EXTENDED - MARCH 23, 2019

Winter has been particularly hard on the ungulate populations in the Teton Range this year and the existing deep snow pack will not make the next several weeks any easier for them.  In an effort to minimize additional stress on these animals, closures have been implemented and/or extended for several areas of the Park.  Of particular note to backcountry skiers and boarders is an extension of the bighorn sheep closure in the Mt Hunt, Prospectors Mtn, and Static Peak Areas.  This closure will remain in effect until April 30th.  Please help us with this effort by respecting these closures!  Click on the map to see details.

Finally, visitors are reminded that the Teton Park Road from Taggart Lake Parking Lot to Signal Mountain is now closed as snow removal operations are underway.  All modes of travel are prohibited on the road surface until snow removal operations are complete and the road is opened for non motorized use.
